Responsibilities
  • Overall sales and relationship management efforts for existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory.
  • Pursuing new customers: researching industry and market trends impacting restaurants within the territory, identifying and researching prospective customers, and developing sales strategies that highlight GFS products, services, values, and solutions.
  • Deepening and strengthening existing customer relationships through visits on a weekly, bi‑weekly, or monthly basis, conducting business reviews to determine customers' needs and growth opportunities, providing ongoing product training, and identifying opportunities to add value through product and service offerings.
  • Sales territory management: balancing new customer acquisition with deepening existing relationships, coordinating visits to prospective and existing customers, and communicating order status and processing updates.
Sales Training – Getting You Ready

During the first 90 days, new representatives will receive comprehensive training through e‑learning, classroom sessions, video role‑plays, job shadowing, and peer mentorship. Topics include using GFS systems, products, and tools, the sales process for engaging new customers, establishing relationships within the GFS network, best practices for relationship development, and effective territory management.

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or culinary certificate preferred.
  • One year of prior sales, business, or food‑service experience.
  • Valid state driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
  • Requirement that candidates who work for a GFS customer provide a letter of support from their management if selected for interview.
