Job Summary

Join our team as an Outside Sales Representative covering Ohio and Michigan, where you'll play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and fostering strong customer partnerships. This position offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients through face‑to‑face interactions, focusing on solution‑oriented sales strategies to contribute significantly to our company’s growth and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties

Market & Territory Management:

  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the Ohio and Michigan territories that aligns with overall company goals and market potential.
  • Conduct continuous analysis of regional market trends, competitor positioning, and customer preferences to adapt sales tactics effectively.
  • Maintain precise and up‑to‑date documentation of all sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts within the CRM platform to support strategic decision‑making.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and engage prospective dealer accounts through strategic prospecting methods, qualification processes, and relationship building efforts.
  • Deliver compelling in‑person sales presentations and product demonstrations that clearly communicate the value and benefits of our offerings.
  • Proactively assess customer requirements and tailor product or service recommendations accordingly to maximize satisfaction and sales opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations concerning pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with company policies and profitability objectives.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass established sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Account Management:

  • Develop lasting relationships with current customers by providing responsive support and proactive account management.
  • Act as the primary liaison for dealer inquiries, concerns, and service issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Regularly evaluate client satisfaction levels and identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling additional products or services.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal departments including customer service, operations, pricing, and supply chain to facilitate efficient order processing and delivery.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Prepare detailed sales reports and financial forecasts to inform management of progress, challenges, and opportunities within the territory.
  • Manage and document business‑related expenses accurately in accordance with corporate expense policies.
  • Participate actively in regular sales meetings, professional training, and corporate events to stay informed on product updates and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is essential; candidates with a bachelor’s degree are highly preferred, providing enhanced business acumen.
  • Possess between 2 to 5 years of proven experience in outside sales, particularly within the powersports, automotive, aftermarket industries, or B2B product/service sales sectors.
