What do our Pest Control Consultants do?The primary purpose of this role is to sell the company's industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers, while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business. You’ll be the face of our national brand in your local community, and your clients will count on you to protect their homes and families.
Responsibilities- Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and related concerns; based on assessment findings, recommend pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for residential customers.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to generate opportunities.
- Work with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams with our current base and develop proposals that resolve existing pest issues while proposing additional enhancements.
- Complete a home diagram using the Sales CRM to ensure a clear understanding of the customer’s property and potential challenges.
- Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
- Provide expert knowledge during new service installations to ensure jobs are completed satisfactorily.
- Maintain daily activities and sales performance using the company Sales CRM.
- Move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning objects.
- Move around a lot, including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways; be comfortable dealing with various pests such as spiders, flies, mosquitos, rodents, etc.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely and keep it and all other equipment clean.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator, as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license in your state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- Strong social, customer‑service, and communication skills; experience or training in sales is highly desirable.
- Preferred at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
- Ready to travel up to 100% of the time within assigned territory(s).
