About this role
The Account Executive is a field sales role responsible for client retention and growth. The role focuses on engaging complex, publicly‑traded organizations to guide decisions in IT strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation. Responsibilities include driving account retention and growth, gaining deep insight into clients’ top priorities, and clearly demonstrating the value Gartner delivers.
What you will do- Drive value delivery with current Gartner clients, ensuring they maximize the value received from their services
- Identify, cultivate, qualify, and close client growth opportunities through cross‑sell and upsell
- Continually build a pipeline of high‑quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and KPI’s
- Serve as the quota responsible person for your assigned territory
- Manage complex high‑revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments
- Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- 5–10+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments
- Experience selling to or influencing C‑Level Executives, especially CIOs and CTOs
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Proven ability to own, manage, and forecast a complex sales process
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Competitive base salary with a range of $101,000–$140,000 USD, subject to experience and location
