Fleet Pride is a nationwide distributor of heavy‑duty truck parts and services.

Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative sells Fleet Pride products and services to current and prospective customers in a competitive business‑to‑business environment. The representative is accountable for maximizing sales and gross profit within a defined territory, growing share within existing customers, and acquiring new customers. Success requires problem‑solving, customer focus, and deep understanding of Fleet Pride’s value proposition.

Core Competencies & Responsibilities
  • Account Planning: Understand share of wallet, identify opportunities, maintain and update account plans, set milestones, and prepare tactics.
  • Call Planning: Define call objectives, prepare and anticipate barriers, document accurate call records and post‑call results in CRM.
  • Customer Needs & Assessment: Ask open‑ended questions, observe opportunities, establish trust, and uncover expansion needs.
  • Value Communication: Maintain dialogue on value delivery, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for increased mutual value.
  • Teamwork: Leverage internal teams and resources, elevate issues appropriately, and act as conduit between customer and company.
  • Product Knowledge: Understand major parts, compare with competitors, and lead customers to best‑fit solutions.

  • Territory sales in specific product areas
  • Customer account mix
  • Territory gross margin
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of B2B sales experience (heavy‑duty equipment distribution or related industry preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Mechanical inclination and interest in the industry
  • Experience with CRM and sales force automation tools preferred
  • MS Office proficiency, Excel database tasks
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
