Patient impact in rare disease:
Support appropriate patient identification, referral, initiation, and persistence by engaging endocrinology and primary care stakeholders involved in endocrine care.Disease education grounded in evidence:
Reinforce evidence-based value narratives using approved materials to support informed clinical decision-making in endocrine disease.Coordinated care pathways & access:
Partner across the matrix and with endocrinology practices, specialty pharmacies, diagnostics/labs, and ancillary sites to simplify starts, reimbursement navigation, and continuity of care.
The Rare Disease
- Endocrinology, Senior Health & Science Specialist is a field-based specialty sales role responsible for driving the growth of the Endocrinology portfolio through compliant, strategic relationships within assigned accounts. This role partners with Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to execute effective promotional strategies, support appropriate access, and deliver high-impact customer engagement. - Endocrinology Health & Science Specialist leverages strong sales acumen, product and disease-state expertise, and a structured approach to in-person engagement while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Drive customer engagement and sales performance through effective in-person and virtual interactions across endocrinology accounts.
Build strong, compliant relationships with endocrinologists, advanced practice providers, multidisciplinary care teams, and office staff across assigned accounts.
Deliver approved promotional and disease-state messaging to support appropriate Endocrinology product use.
Leverage product, disease, and market knowledge to identify opportunities, prioritize accounts, and support appropriate patient identification and referral pathways in endocrine disease.
Support patient access by providing information on prior authorization requirements, reimbursement support, hubs, and co-pay resources as applicable.
Compliantly collaborate with cross-functional partners to address customer needs, remove access barriers, and advance Endocrinology business objectives.
Use digital tools and insights to plan, execute, and optimize Endocrinology territory activities.
Education: Bachelor's degree
OR an associate's degree with 8+ years of work experience
OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of work experience.
Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in one or more of the following:
Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales
Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device marketing
Aligned therapeutic specific healthcare provider experience
Driver's Licensing Requirement: Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
- Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.
3-5 years of specialty sales experience, preferably in Endocrinology
Strong understanding of complex disease states, biologics, and specialty reimbursement
Experience engaging key opinion leaders and high-influence accounts
Demonstrated business acumen, data-driven decision making, and strategic thinking
Strong digital engagement capability (e.g., Veeva Engage, Teams, Microsoft Office) and comfort in hybrid selling models
This role is field based and requires the colleague to reside within a workable distance of all points of business within the assigned territory to effectively meet business needs.
