Role
Summary:
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, Location Manager or Territory Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the Kendall Electric sales team. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the products or services offered. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for communicating with customers and vendors, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process.
The person in this role must be able to build relationships and close sales.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
Respond promptly to customer inquiries
Communicate with customers and vendors through various channels
Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
Participate in sales and product training sessions
Process orders and quotes in business system
Provide vendor portal assistance to customers
Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessary
Explain and articulate product features and applications
Make recommendations to customers for product selections
Make outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leads
Understand customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities
Maintain a database of current and potential customers
Provide the customer product submittal sheets for their approval and track their progress
Close sales and achieve sales targets
Perform other duties and projects as assigned

What you’ll need:
Work Experience:
2 years’ customer service, sales or distribution experience
Education:
HS diploma or GED Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systems
Organization
Skills:
Excellent work ethic; good verbal, and written communication skills
Cross-functional skills:
Ability to work well cross-functionally and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
Communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; provide excellent internal and external customer service; experience handling escalated customer requests; negotiation skills

Qualifications we prefer but don’t require:
Work Experience:
2 years’ electrical sales and customer service experience, Eclipse ERP experience
Education:
Associate or bachelor’s degree
