• SHIFT OPENING(S): 3rd shifts, various days Mon‑Sun (3‑5 days per week)
• Part‑Time (16‑36 hours per week based on availability) / Weekend availability required
• RATE OF PAY: $19.89 – $20.09 per hour (rates vary by work site)

  Armed Security Officer
• ABOUT THE JOB: DK Security is seeking a part‑time overnight armed security officer to help secure a military base. This position is suited for a flexible person with armed security, military, or law‑enforcement experience who understands the mission and is available to help secure and protect visitors, grounds, and staff in an armed capacity.
• MICHIGAN CONCEALED PISTOL LICENSE (CPL) REQUIRED.
• LEOSA CREDENTIAL REQUIRED.

• Customer Service:
  Represent the company positively by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Observe and Report:
  Stay alert and be on the lookout for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence:
  Maintain a professional appearance and guard key areas such as lobbies, reception, and control centers.
• Patrol:
  Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas and perform security duties as required.
• Access Control:
  Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, verify employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
• Safety Patrol:
  Maintain a safe environment for all employees and visitors, enforce policies and procedures, and report safety concerns.
• Emergency Response:
  Be ready to assist in emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel using proper protocols.
• Security Liaison:
  Communicate professionally with client staff, follow through on client requests, and keep the site supervisor/operations manager updated on all communications.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must hold an unexpired Michigan CPL.
• Must have prior armed experience in armed security, law‑enforcement, or military roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be of good moral character and pass a criminal background check with no felony convictions and no misdemeanor convictions involving criminal sexual conduct, theft, assault, illegal substances, multiple alcohol‑related offenses, or crimes of moral turpitude.
• Must pass a psychological evaluation.
• Must pass a drug test at the time of hire and annually thereafter.
• Must present a friendly, positive, professional image and adhere to our Appearance and Grooming policy.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must read and write in English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and reports.
• Intermediate computer skills required – comfortable with Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crouch, move quickly, lift at least 70 lbs, navigate stairs, and use fingers to manipulate small tools, both indoors and outdoors in any weather for an 8‑ to 12‑hour shift.
