Control Center Operator

Overview

DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company. Since 1995 we have expanded from investigations to provide uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention services, and more based on client needs.

Position:
Control Center Operator (Unarmed). Full‑time, Monday to Sunday with 2‑3 month rotation across morning, evening, and night shifts.

• Provide customer service and communicate professionally with client staff, visitors, and coworkers.
• Maintain vigilance to detect and report suspicious activities or incidents.
• Guard building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers; conduct foot and vehicle patrols as required.
• Control access to restricted areas by checking IDs and following access procedures.
• Enforce safety policies, report safety concerns, and maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.
• Respond to emergencies, administer CPR/First Aid/AED care, and communicate with emergency personnel.
• Serve as a liaison with client staff, relay requests, and update site supervisors or operations managers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Intermediate computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
• Age 18+ with high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Pass a drug screening (including marijuana) at hire and randomly thereafter.
• No felony convictions (MCL 338.1060).
• No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances, or multiple alcohol‑related offenses (MCL 338.1060).
• Capable of sitting, standing, walking, and walking up staircases for 8‑12 hours.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (Child, Infant, and Adult) or willing to obtain certification.
• Good vision (20/20 or better with corrective lenses) and hearing for conversations in loud environments.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Must be able to use a smart mobile phone and computer for typing, email, and online training.
• Military veterans and individuals with security, firefighting, corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.
