Role SummaryAs a Security Officer Access Control in Lansing, MI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Thur: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
- Fri: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
- Sat: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
- Sun: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, observing conditions, reporting unusual activity, and supporting security-related operations throughout varying work environments.
- Assist with visitor management, badge issuance, and/or screening procedures while maintaining professional communication and following post orders for sensitive healthcare areas.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
