Electrician Licensed E9 (E9)$31.38 - $40.32
Experienced (journeyman) electrician performs a full range of assignments using independent judgment. The employee works with other electricians and trades to complete maintenance, construction, and remodeling projects on state properties. Responsibilities include using a wide range of power tools and equipment, providing courteous customer service, and co‑operating with staff to ensure a positive experience for tenants.
Electrician Master Licensed E10 (E10)$31.75 - $43.30
Experienced (master) electrician obtains permits, performs work as required by law, and handles the full range of technical electrical tasks. The employee makes independent judgment without supervision, works with other trades on state property projects, and uses a wide range of power tools. Customer service and cooperation with staff are emphasized to maintain a positive outcome for tenants.
Sign‑On BonusThis position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $5,000. Up to $1,500 will be paid upon new hire and the remainder after satisfactory completion of the initial 12‑month probationary period. This does not apply to current state employees.
EducationHigh‑school completion.
Experience- Electrician Licensed E9 – No specific experience beyond licensure required; possession of a journeyman electrician’s license.
- Electrician Master Licensed E10 – No specific experience beyond licensure required; possession of a master electrician’s license.
- Possession of a master electrician’s license.
- Some positions may require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the Secretary of State as required by Public Act 346 of 1988 to operate a designated state vehicle.
