AXIS ENGINEERING - Electrical Technical Trades (Apprenticeship)
Responsibilities:
- Learn to install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Learn to connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Will learn to diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Learn to test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other personnel from affected departments including production, maintenance and tool room.
- Learn to replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors and positioning sensors.
- Learn to diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.
- Learn to replace electric motor bearings and how to rewire motors.
- Learn how to install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Will learn to diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Performs all duties and operates machinery and equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
- Punctual and regular attendance is required.
- Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
- Able to travel up to 50%.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must pass aptitude test.
Shift Information
This is a 1st shift position, and shift times may vary depending on production needs.
