Property Maintenance Technician Full Time - Lansing, MI

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

About the Role

Mint Construction is seeking a dependable and motivated Property Maintenance Technician to join our growing team serving residential and commercial properties throughout the Greater Lansing area.

In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep properties safe, functional, and well-maintained by completing maintenance requests, troubleshooting property issues, and supporting a variety of repair and upkeep projects.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and values professionalism when working with clients, tenants, vendors, and team members.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects alongside a supportive field team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality and customer experience matter.

What You’ll Do
  • Complete property maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Respond to maintenance work orders and service requests.
  • Perform basic repairs including drywall, painting, flooring, trim work, and general upkeep.
  • Assist with basic carpentry and handyman projects.
  • Proactively troubleshoot maintenance issues and help develop effective resolutions.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Load, unload, and transport tools and materials.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members.
What We’re Looking For
  • Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and walking.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Practical experience in maintenance, remodeling, construction, handyman work, carpentry, or property maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic carpentry and repair tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Ability to maintain positive client relationships in high-pressure or challenging situations.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation, including physical work tasks throughout the shift.
Tools

Employees are expected to maintain and bring basic hand tools needed for daily maintenance work. Additional specialty tools and larger equipment may be provided by the company.
