Aboutthe Position
JLL is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician for 2nd or 3rd shift at our client's automotive production facility. This position requires maintenance and troubleshooting expertise in an industrial setting.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and alter electrical services, equipment, and controls using approved materials and properly sized wire, conduit, raceways, and equipment. Perform work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Apply NFPA 70E standards and wear appropriate Arc Flash PPE when working on equipment. Work with both high and low-voltage systems to troubleshoot and repair. Maintain work areas and equipment in safe, efficient, and clean operating condition.
Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Report equipment needing repair or any unsafe conditions to supervisor. Efficiently operate hand/power tools, test instruments, and equipment required for the trade. Assist with other duties, including work of other trades as required.
- High school diploma or GED
- State of Michigan or UAW Journeyman's Electrician License
- Must be a current union member or willing to join the union
- Valid state driver's license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of trade experience
- Ability to maintain professionalism under stressful situations
- Self-directed with ability to work without direct supervision
- Available for call-in work when required
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, standing, climbing, and walking
- Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in building maintenance
- Understanding of and compliance with Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
- CMMS and/or database experience
- Superior customer service skills and professional orientation
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent planning and organizational skills under time constraints
- Collaborative work style
