Our team is seeking an Electrician Master Licensed E10 Contractor Inspector for our Bureau of Field Services Team. We are looking for someone who can embrace the challenges of meeting our goals and exceeding the standards!

This position functions at the experienced level that performs work independently or as part of an electrician work group to address the state trunkline electrical needs statewide. Responsibilities to inspect work performed by contractors hired by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) to install electronic traffic control devices and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) on a statewide basis. May also inspect preventative maintenance work of contractors and contract agencies.

This position is able to obtain electrical permits for electrical work as required by law. Operate a vehicle or vehicle/trailer combination with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more (e.g., bucket truck) when performing electrical activities.

The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the Electrician Master Licensed E10 position.

Vacation and Sick Leave:
Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

Paid Parental Leave:
Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

Paid Holidays:
