Service Technician - Heavy Equipment

Michigan's CAT Dealership offers a 2nd shift opportunity for a Mac Allister CAT Service Technician. The role involves leading service and maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, and continuously learning new skills.

• Diagnose problems with equipment/engines using a variety of methods and tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance work on customer products.
• Conduct service/repair work on diagnosed items, ranging from mechanical to electrical.
• Identify and source parts required for repair or service.
• Complete detailed service reports for the Service Coordinator and Service Supervisor.
• Clean and paint equipment as necessary to complete job.

• A minimum of 2‑5 years of heavy construction repair experience.
• Highly motivated and able to learn new tasks, processes, and policies.

• Prior experience using CAT ET or similar electronic diagnostics tools.
• Agricultural and farming equipment repair experience.
• Experience writing detailed service reports on internal/external customer equipment.
• High school diploma or vocational college degree in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Repair, or Welding Technology.
