Responsibilities
- Inspection, repair, installation and servicing of Gravel Trains, stationary and mobile equipment
- Repair and maintenance of mobile equipment such as:
Diesel and Gasoline engine repair and maintenance, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems - Cutting, welding, and metal fabrication
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and correction of recurring problems
- Basic schematic and parts diagram reading ability
- Operate heavy equipment to facilitate maintenance
- Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary, including cleaning and lubrication of parts
- Orders replacement parts
- Inspects completed repairs
- Requisition s new parts and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and ABS systems across tractors and multi-trailer setups
- Handle major component replacements (engines, clutches, differentials)
- Lead difficult breakdown diagnostics to minimize downtime
