Position Summary
EV Construction is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Facilities Services team. This position focuses on repair, renovation, tenant improvement, and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate is a skilled craft professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, communicates professionally with clients and team members, and can safely complete a wide variety of finishing carpentry and general trade tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform commercial finish carpentry, repair, renovation, and tenant improvement work on a variety of facilities.
- Install and repair finish carpentry, trim, millwork, casework, cabinetry, and countertops.
- Complete punch list work, repairs, and facility improvements while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate installation and project completion.
- Identify field issues, troubleshoot solutions, and communicate project updates with supervisors and team members.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, building occupants, subcontractors, and fellow employees while working in occupied environments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Properly operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and company equipment.
- Assist with additional carpentry and general trades tasks as needed to support project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in finish carpentry, including trim, cabinetry, casework, countertops, doors, frames, hardware, windows, wall protection, and commercial specialties.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
