Overview
Heavy Equipment Operator
Location:
Lansing, MI
Pay: $25-$35/HR
Operate modern equipment on high-profile construction projects. Clark Companies is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our excavation and site development team. This position is responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently on residential, commercial, and municipal projects throughout Mid-Michigan.
Responsibilities- Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment
- Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, and utility installation work
- Read grade stakes and site plans
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with field crews and project supervisors
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Maintain productivity while producing quality work
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience required;
Trimble GPS experience a plus - Experience with excavation, site development, or utility projects
- Ability to read grades and construction plans is a plus
- Strong safety awareness
- Reliable attendance and transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
