The HVAC Service Tech plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Working as part of a small service team, this technician uses manual diagnostic tools to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably. This position requires a hands‑on approach with a focus on quality assurance, customer communication, and technical expertise. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions using manual diagnostic tools
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and solutions
• Test equipment performance and conduct quality assurance checks
• Replace parts as necessary to restore system functionality
• Conduct diagnostic analysis to identify underlying issues

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC service
• Technical certification in HVAC or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Certification
• Experience with HVAC system diagnostics and electrical systems
• Mechanical aptitude with effective time management and communication abilities

The HVAC Service Technician role is primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to a variety of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment including air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers and humidifiers, RTUs, remote condensing units, ice machines, walk‑in coolers & freezers, and upright refrigerators & freezers.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of commercial experience as an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Active EPA Certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely lift to 50 lbs., climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.
