Fleet Mechanic

Fleet Mechanic position available in the Lansing, Michigan area working at our client location who is an established fleet and food manufacturer.

Direct hire opportunity. The primary workspace is located in a fully equipped garage. Occasional outdoor work in different weather conditions may be required. Pay rate $32.81 per hour. Additional $1.00 an hour if possess 6-heavy duty master certifications. 4-day work week, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May work Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Must be flexible to work various shifts if needed.

• Complete preventive maintenance for vehicles by conducting inspections, servicing, performance tests, and replacing worn components.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues based on driver feedback, functional tests, and using diagnostic equipment; repair or replace parts with hand tools and garage machinery.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper vehicle records
• Filling out and updating forms.
• Ensure safe operation of vehicles by adhering to DOT safety standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Move, position, park, and fuel company equipment as required.
• Carry out other assigned duties as needed.

• 3 years fleet maintenance and repair experience
• Valid driver’s license with Chauffeur’s license
• Must be able to pass DOT medical exam
• All mechanics must have a cell phone
