Location: Michigan
Status: Full Time
Wage: $20.00/hour
Incentives:

  • +$1/hr for weekend & overnight shifts
  • +$2/hr for combined shifts

What You’ll Do Team Leadership & Operations
  • Create and manage schedules for Independent Living Plus Youth Specialists
  • Provide shift coverage (including 2nd or 3rd shifts) when needed
  • Train and support new Youth Specialists on responsibilities and best practices
  • Collaborate with Program Managers on performance management and corrective actions
  • Maintain awareness of house operations, staffing needs, and overall program function
Youth Mentorship & Support
  • Serve as a mentor and positive role model for youth in residence
  • Guide youth in developing daily living skills, including household responsibilities
  • Support youth as they transition from foster care to independent living
  • Build relationships that foster trust, growth, and accountability
Program & Safety Oversight
  • Monitor youth activities to ensure safety and well-being
  • Reinforce house rules and program expectations
  • Participate in house meetings and treatment planning sessions
  • Communicate youth progress with case managers, coaches, and program staff
  • Report safety concerns, maintenance needs, or behavioral issues appropriately
What We’re Looking For Education
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in social services, Child Development, or related field (preferred)
Experience
  • Experience in a group home, residential setting, or working with youth strongly preferred
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Background in child welfare or human services a plus
Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to provide trauma-informed care in high-stress environments
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and positively influence youth behavior and development
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Bilingual (Spanish or language of youth served) preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Reliable personal transportation and proof of insurance
  • Ability to safely transport youth as needed
