Position

Origami is seeking a full-time (30 hours per week) Mental Health Therapist to work in a dynamic, post-acute environment with persons with neurological, developmental, and mental health conditions. This position has flexible hours with in-person and telehealth sessions. A successful therapist at Origami demonstrates teamwork and compassion, with strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychotherapy to individuals or families.
  • Develop therapeutic treatment plans based on clients' interests, abilities, and needs.
  • Document client information including initial evaluations, session notes, progress notes, and discharge plans per organization and insurance requirements.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed in the state of Michigan as a LMSW, LPC, LP, or LLP.
  • Must be comfortable and willing to work with clients across the lifespan, including:
    • Children of all ages

    • Older adults

Preferred Experience
  • Clinical or rehabilitation counseling experience
  • 1+ years’ experience with children, adolescents, or adults in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand, walk, and sit (use hands to palpate, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel or crawl, and taste or smell). Accommodated alternatives are acceptable if they accomplish the necessary essential tasks. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
