- WIOA Associate Manager

The Capital Area Michigan Works! (CAMW!) Program Associate Manager plays a critical role in overseeing both the delivery of high-quality client services and ensuring program compliance within a workforce development setting. This position is responsible for managing participant caseloads, supervising staff, and maintaining adherence to policies and contractual obligations. The role involves conducting audits, approving supportive services, managing data systems, and collaborating with partner agencies to ensure seamless service coordination.

With a strong focus on both service delivery and client outcomes, this position supports the success of program participants while upholding the standards of Capital Area Michigan Works! and Peckham, Inc.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and monitor referrals and caseloads for program eligibility, compliance, documentation, and adherence to policy.
  • Provide onboarding and continuous training to new and existing program staff to support consistent program operations, service delivery, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Conduct routine file reviews to ensure staff documentation, records, and service activities comply with program requirements, organizational standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide crisis intervention, mentoring, and individualized support to ensure participant stability and success.
  • Manage financial obligations, including the documentation, review, and approval of program-related expenditures such as supportive services, vendor payments, participant reimbursements, and other operational costs, ensuring compliance with established financial policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with community partners, including but not limited too educational institutions, program applicants, and referral agencies to develop and implement service plans.
  • Prepare, develop, and deliver comprehensive responses to CAMW! and the Accountability Committee regarding program performance, outcomes, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate, timely case documentation, records, and data entry in required systems.
  • Compile and analyze enrollment and termination tables, completion of Business Plan metrics, success stories, annual data metrics, and other program relevant metrics for both Capital Area Michigan Works! and Peckham.
  • Contribute to achieving established performance expectations in alignment with contract requirements and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate client services in collaboration with internal CAMW! programs and external partners

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in community and employer events with CAMW! and Peckham, Inc.
  • Provide career counseling, coaching, and guidance to improve employability and independence.
  • Facilitate consistent, professional communication to deliver quality participant support throughout all phases of service delivery, including intake, program participation, follow-up, and exit, to drive engagement, retention, and successful outcomes.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position may supervise a small caseload of program participants.

  • As required by some customer contracts, Peckham employees may be required to obtain and maintain relevant professional certifications and/or security clearances as a condition of employment. This requirement will be determined based on the specific needs of contract.

Qualifications

  • High School (HS) Diploma Or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of case management, workforce development, or career coaching experience
  • 6 Months or More of people leadership experience.
  • Ability to Maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with program and organizational requirements.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, to support documentation, communication, scheduling, and reporting needs.
  • Ability to apply and maintain current best practices in career counseling, guidance, and customer service to effectively assess needs, provide support, and evaluate service satisfaction.
  • Ability to identify priorities, manage competing deadlines, and complete tasks in a timely manner to support program goals and desired outcomes.
  • Ability to make informed decisions by considering program needs, available resources, and organizational priorities.
