Responsibilities
  • Core Technical

    Skills:

    • Motion Planning & Control:
      Proficiency in designing, developing, deploying, and evaluating motion planning and control algorithms; solid foundation in control theory (PID, nonlinear techniques, optimal, etc), system modeling, simulation, and vehicle dynamics; experience with real‑time control systems for data acquisition and processing.
    • Software Development:
      Expertise in model‑based design using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and dSpace for code generation (C/C++); practical experience using Linux for software development, including ROS tools; development of nodes within DDS‑compliant publisher‑subscriber protocol in a static network environment setting.
    • Vehicle Systems:
      Proven experience in longitudinal and/or lateral controller development for drive‑by‑wire vehicles (low and high‑speed domains); ability to develop vehicle system identification experiments, parameter estimation, and controller KPI analysis; proficiency with Kalman filters for vehicle state estimation; familiarity with CAN tools (Vector) for vehicle communication data analysis and DBC file handling.
    • Data and Analysis:
      Advanced data analysis skills using MATLAB and Excel.
    • ADAS and Embedded Systems:
      Proficient understanding of L2 and L3 ADAS functions; basic understanding of the ADAS end‑to‑end pipeline (sensors, perception, SLAM, fusion, planning, functions); basic understanding of embedded ADAS platforms, heterogeneous SoCs (Safety Island, GPU, NPU); basic understanding of mixed critical embedded systems; basic understanding of hyper‑virtualized multi‑domain platforms; basic understanding on VIP and VIP‑less architecture (built‑in safety island on SOCs) and safety OS;

      deploying software compute nodes/modules in a distributed architecture.
    • Testing and Simulation:
      Experience with HIL/SIL simulations for rapid prototyping (IPG Car Maker, VTD, Carla); familiarity with hardware such as Kistler, Novatel systems for ground‑truthing sensors and for DAQ (data acquisition) purposes.
    • Processes and Compliance:
      Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools (Git Lab, Jira, IBM RTC); experience in customer requirement analysis and deriving detail feature‑level requirements for software development; ability to document software design documents to interface with other teams such as planning, fusion, etc.
    • Safety and Regulations:
      Familiarity with functional safety concepts of ISO 26262, SEooC (Safety Element out of Context) and SOTIF (Safety Of the Intended Functionality); familiarity with NCAP, GSR, NHTSA and other regulatory requirements.
    • Vehicle Testing:
      Ability to drive and test software on a drive‑by‑wire vehicle.
Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Robotics, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Experience must include: control theory (such as PID, nonlinear techniques, optimal, etc), system modeling, simulation, and vehicle dynamics;
    Model Predictive Control (MPC) for obstacle avoidance;
    Kalman filters for vehicle state estimation; development & testing evaluation of speed control for lead vehicle following and yaw control for path tracking; and experience with functional roles with cross‑functional teams like ADAS and Vision Applications.
