Warehouse Clerk​/Back Up Driver

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Clinton Township, MI on Day Shift (Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5:30 pm). • Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey or hoist equipment and parts throughout the warehouse and work areas
• Comply with all quality standards and policies
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning/maintaining equipment and work areas, and performing safety inspections
• Accurate picking, packing and shipment of various sized parts to support quick turnaround of parts ordered
• Fill orders by removing the correct parts from the shelf, identifying part numbers and proper quantity
• Determine method of shipment and pack accordingly
• Count, weigh, measure or examine packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications
• Receive and unpack merchandise and supplies and verify delivery accuracy
• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials
• Ensure proper location of merchandise and maintain production area organization and cleanliness
• Stock shelves by placing material in appropriate locations
• Back up driver responsibilities: load, secure and unload product safely; maintain a route schedule; provide documentation for deliveries; demonstrate customer service skills; handle CODs and delivery manifests; perform vehicle inspections; ensure regulatory compliance

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
• Prior forklift certification or willingness to become certified
• Basic computer skills
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus

The employee may frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach. Walkways are concrete and/or metal grating. The employee may lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently. Warehouse environment can be hot or cold and dusty.

Anticipated starting pay range: $16.00 to $21.00 per hour. Actual base pay varies by qualifications, experience, business needs, and location.
