Job Summary
Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service, provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area, and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma/GED.
Minimum ExperienceSix months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
- Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license for the assigned vehicle type and have a good driving record. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Compensation& Schedule
Pay: $22.30 – $33.84 hourly. Full‑time schedule Mon‑Fri or Tues‑Sat depending on shift availability, 8:00‑20:00 varies. Desired location:
Pellston, MI. Employees will be required to work at the Fed Ex location five days a week.
