Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Forklift Operator and Material Handler in Lansing, Michigan. The role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Pay and Schedule- Hourly Pay: $18.72 – $19.15 per hour
- Overtime Pay: $28.08 – $28.72 per hour
- Shift Premium: $1.00 when working Third Shift
- Schedule:
Third Shift Sunday‑Thursday 10:30 pm‑7:00 am; occasional Fridays as needed
Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver positions handle automotive parts using sit‑down forklifts and stand‑up tuggers in clean, organized facilities.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid Forklift Operator's License
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Highly thorough and dependable
- Punctual with good attendance record
- Minimal supervision needed

- Capacity to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs

- Flexible schedule across various shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading, and unloading of trucks
- Manage day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour
- Perform other duties as assigned
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check and a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer.
