Job Description
We are looking for a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to shuttle yard locations. Drivers will operate intrastate and interstate routes in a tandem trailer, tractor trailer or straight truck, ensuring all DOT regulations and company safety standards are met.
Position Details- Annual salary: $80,000–$85,000.
- Sunday night – Thursday night shifts; dispatch between 3–5 pm.
- Locally based drivers with daily home time.

Position PurposeFood and food service delivery drivers ensure customer products arrive on time and in good condition, while building lasting relationships with clients. As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to designated yards, acting as a key member of the fleet operations team.
Position Responsibilities- Perform all required safety checks (pre‑ and post‑trip) according to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Report all safety issues and repair needs promptly.
- Follow DOT regulations, company safe‑driving guidelines and policies.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and paperwork is filed.
- Adhere to predetermined route schedules.
- Execute hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
- Park and store tractor‑trailer combinations in designated areas.
- Secure all equipment and freight at all times.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns for return to base.
- Unload equipment and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily hours‑of‑service records in compliance with Federal, state and company requirements.
- Maintain general housekeeping in the tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- At least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
- High school diploma, GED or state‑approved equivalent.
- Internal candidates must be in good standing.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid CDL A with Doubles endorsement.
- Minimum age 21.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years.
- Availability for third‑shift schedule, Sunday‑Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to hand‑lift and use two‑wheelers, lift gates and other equipment to move and stack product cases or freight ranging from 10–35 pounds, up to roughly 60–90 pounds.
