** ESSENTIAL

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs alphanumeric data entry operations as required to receive all incoming materials into the inventory system with real time transactions. Receives all small package shipments as required verifying incoming material against packing slip/purchase order for accuracy. Investigation of supplier shipment discrepancies. Report over/under shipments to supplier and supervisor for immediate resolution. Performs other related material transaction activities as required. Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.

Recommends measures to improve material handling methods, equipment performance, and quality of service. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Confers with supervisors and leads to coordinate activities of the department. Coordinates efforts of receiving/warehouse process to ensure inventory accuracy, and ensure that the needs of vendors, customers and internal departments are met in a timely manner.

Conducts daily pre-shift meetings with personnel. Participates in inventories and cycle count efforts. Directly monitors employees in the warehouse and receiving. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Understand responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA MIOSHA inspectors.

Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety rules. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately. Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee including themselves.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Six months experience in receiving related field preferred Industrial truck driving permit is helpful. Hi-lo certification required.##
