Parts Warehouse Shipping & Receiving – LATE SHIFT
Shaheen Chevrolet is looking for a full‑time wholesale parts shipping & receiving associate.
Seeking a motivated individual who can work both independently and with a team, possesses strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, and has at least one year of experience in a warehouse or returns environment.
Schedule Available:
- Shift Monday - Friday 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.
Essential Duties- Report stock discrepancies to the manager daily.
- Inspect shipments at loading and unloading for damage and quantity, stock all parts in the correct bin or location, and ensure saleable conditions daily.
- Check in all UPS, GM, and other parts in a timely manner daily.
- Package and ship returns to vendors promptly.
- Write up core returns, damage claims (659), shortage (PC31), and overage (PC31) claims daily.
- Assign new parts to bins that lack assigned locations daily.
- Control all special and emergency orders by tagging and notifying the appropriate person daily.
- Maintain bins, racks, and other equipment; notify management of needed repairs daily.
- Secure the building at close daily.
- Count all parts delivered from UPS/Fed Ex, verify, count, and sign for them daily.
- When checking in GM parts delivery in the morning:
- Verify that the part number on the parts tag matches the part number on the box.
- Verify the quantity of parts received matches the quantity of parts on the packing slip.
- Assist parts drivers in loading and unloading parts to and from the parts trucks for deliveries daily.
- Handle all loading and unloading of items requiring the use of the forklift.
- Stock and post incoming orders.
- Notify appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.
- Return parts as needed and remove them from inventory after credit is received.
- Return cores in a timely manner and follow up for receipt of credit.
- Assist in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.
- Assist in annual parts returns.
- Keep parts area clean and uncluttered.
- Maintain a professional appearance; keep grooming, shaving, and uniform appearance high level daily.
- Serve as a back‑up for the parts manager for inventory functions.
- Match purchase orders and invoices, approve, and forward to the accounting office.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- High school diploma, GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Hazardous material handling certification.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Basic mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentTypical work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. Employees are frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and explosions, and the noise level is typically loud.
