Position: School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lapeer, Michigan

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students with their communication and learning goals during the upcoming  school year. This part‑time contract assignment focuses on making a meaningful impact across two elementary campuses, contributing crucial support to established speech‑language services.

Beginning in mid‑August and running through early June, you’ll play an essential role supplementing existing SLP coverage. Your expertise will help students build confidence and achieve their individual milestones throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) or eligibility
  • State licensure to practice as an SLP in Michigan (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience providing speech and language services in school settings
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Passion for working with diverse student populations and supporting individualized needs
Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic SLP services to K‑5 students at two elementary buildings
  • Collaborate with the full‑time and part‑time SLPs to address overflow caseloads
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and intervention plans
  • Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student success
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation and meet compliance standards
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
