Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) (Full Time And Part Time

We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) positions at Morrison Healthcare (Compass Healthcare) in the McLaren Lapeer Region, 1375 North Main Street, Lapeer, MI 48446. Online applications only.

Schedule:

Full‑time and part‑time, 12‑hour shifts (5:30 am–6:00 pm or 6:00 am–6:30 pm). Pay: $14.00 per hour. Training provided.

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients select, assemble, deliver, and pick up meal trays. They support the caregiving team, ensuring meals are accurate, delivered on time, and at correct temperature, thereby meeting patient safety and satisfaction goals.

• Help patients understand menu selections and ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary staff to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences, or additional selections.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner; retrieve trays from rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulatory agency standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and confidentiality policies as outlined in HIPAA.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning workstations, and breaking down the patient tray line.
• Adhere to facility and department infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot eat orally, are on liquid diets, or have specific calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in policies.
• Comply with federal, state, local health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver and push food delivery carts.
