Operators are responsible for safely operating Thread Roll Machines. Candidates will perform all basic machinery functions for the familiarization with equipment and tooling in the production of fasteners, follow work instruction processes, and keep the work area clean and organized.
Essential Functions- Starts, stops, and feeds the machines and monitors for imperfect operation.
- Perform basic tool adjustments and clean up of machines.
- Grip and operate various hand tools.
- Follow 6–S principles.
- Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks per specification.
- Understand and measure parts using appropriate measuring tools and blueprints.
- Use and analyze micrometers, calipers and all other measuring devices.
- Meet and maintain productivity levels and quality requirements in support of departmental standards, goals, and schedules.
- Always work in a safe manner, understanding safety and quality are priorities.
- Fill out required paperwork.
- Use of computer systems.
- Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
- Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mathematics skills, including use of decimals and fractions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and team‑oriented.
- Equivalent 6+ months of manufacturing experience.
- Noise – laboratory machines.
- Chemicals, oils, acids, sprays, coolants, and solvents.
- Noise – heavy machinery at plant.
- Noise – vibratory bowls and air feed systems at plant.
- Responsible for complying with regulations and standards covered under MISOSHA as well as not damaging, moving, interfering or removing any safety‑related item that is provided.
- Training to be completed annually.
