CNC Machinist

Job description:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist(s) to join our team on Day shift and/or Afternoon Shifts. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a focused, production-driven environment and take pride in precision work. Shift premium and overtime opportunities available.

Position Summary The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality machined parts that meet customer specifications and industry standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the production process.

A strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to excellence are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities Set up and operate 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC mills and lathes

Install and adjust tooling, set tool registers, offsets, and compensation

Load parts and verify proper machine setup prior to production runs Study work orders, blueprints, materials, and machining parameters to plan operations

Perform basic shop math, including geometry and trigonometry, to calculate requirements

Prove out part programs and make necessary adjustments

Maintain accurate production and quality logs Follow all AS9100D quality standards and complete required training

Maintain a clean and organized work area Adhere to all safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements

Complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet production deadlines

Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Qualifications

Experience operating and setting up 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines

Ability to independently set up mills and lathes

Proficiency in basic shop math Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to accurately complete production documentation

Willingness to complete AS9100D training during onboarding

Working Conditions Temperature-controlled facility

Exposure to moving mechanical parts

Moderate noise level

Fast-paced production environment, especially during evening and night shifts

Physical Requirements Regular standing and use of hands for handling and machine operation

Frequent walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching

Occasional sitting and communication

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs frequently

Strong visual acuity (close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment)
