Job Description
We are seeking a detail oriented Quality Engineer responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures that all processes, products, and services meet the required quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements, specifically focusing on IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain the QMS in accordance with applicable automotive standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
- Regularly review and update quality processes and documentation to ensure they meet current regulations and company goals.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and lead the preparation and execution of external audits conducted by customers, regulatory bodies, or certification agencies.
- Develop Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPAs) to address non-conformities and follow-up on their implementation and effectiveness.
- Apply quality and continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis to drive process efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Operations to implement process controls and improve product quality.
- Track and analyze quality performance metrics, including customer complaints, defect rates, and audit findings.
- Regularly check for new or updated customer requirements and analyze their impact on the QMS.
- 3+ years of experience in quality management or a related field within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AIAG Core Tools including SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and MSA.
- Proficiency in quality management software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Lead Auditor Certification.
- Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
- Knowledge of VDA or other relevant automotive frameworks.
- Experience reporting data from customer systems and scorecards.
