Overview
Position:
Core Systems Programmer. Salary range $68,225.49 to $85,281.86 annually.
- Customize third‑party software and operating system to meet the company's information needs.
- Work closely with users to review and monitor systems, applications, capabilities, and department needs.
- Install, modify, enhance, and customize the company's operating system and perform complex programming tasks.
- Assist programming and operating staff and coordinate with management to set and implement programming goals.
- Assist employees in the IT Department and internal partners, conduct daily interactions, and align with OnPath's mission, culture, and core values.
- Provide recommendations for new programs and future equipment needs, suggesting programming‑related procedures and changes.
- Maintain systems integrity and performance: prepare test data, analyze results, and specify data control procedures.
- Analyze business functions and management information needs, seeking effective programming solutions.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with users, explaining problems, status, and deadlines.
- Resolve problems and provide assistance, support, and training to users; act as consultant and resource.
- Perform complex programming tasks such as designing, documenting, and coding program logic according to established standards.
- Attend and participate in meetings and committees as required.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory positions.
- 3–5 years of experience with Jack Henry technologies, specifically Symitar Episys.
- 2–3 years of MS SQL experience.
- Experience with Jack Henry Power frame docs is a plus.
- Experience with ARCU is a plus.
- Understanding of company operations and information needs.
- Thorough knowledge of programming and information systems.
- Proficiency with business software applications.
College degree (BS or BA in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field), or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Interpersonal SkillsHigh level of trust, credibility, and diplomacy; ability to communicate with customers, reports, and vendors on sensitive confidential matters; motivating and influencing others; professional communication with diverse personalities.
Other SkillsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills, solid project‑management abilities, knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards; proficiency with database software and the MS Office suite.
