Community Outreach Intern – Wyoming Technology Transfer Center (T2 Center)

The Community Outreach Intern supports the Wyoming Technology Transfer Center's outreach and training programs by assisting with the planning, coordination, and delivery of workshops, conferences, certification programs, and other services for transportation professionals throughout Wyoming. The position provides administrative and customer service support while helping maintain efficient daily operations, with the goal of building practical professional skills in event coordination, communications, website management, and financial tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional customer service by answering phone calls and responding to emails regarding workshops, conferences, and outreach programs.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating statewide workshops, conferences, training events, and outreach activities.
- Track registrations, attendance, payments, and other program data using Microsoft Excel and databases.
- Prepare invoices and assist with payment tracking and financial recordkeeping.
- Prepare workshop materials, including sign-in sheets, name tags, certificates, and participant packets.
- Assist with Zoom-based training sessions and online certification programs.
- Update the Center's website with workshop information, certification lists, and announcements.
- Proofread newsletters, emails, website content, and other communications for accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain mailing lists and assist with email communications and outreach efforts.
- Compile information for reports and special projects.
- Assist with travel paperwork and other administrative support activities.
- Support day-to-day office operations and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new software and office procedures.
- Ability to work independently after training while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Professional, courteous, and customer-focused interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information with discretion.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work, particularly when working with names, dates, emails, spreadsheets, and financial information.
- Previous office, administrative, customer service, or clerical experience is helpful but not required—we will train the right candidate.
- Interest in developing professional administrative, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and assume increasing responsibility over time.
- Interest in a longer-term part-time position that offers increasing responsibility and professional growth.

This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus.
Hours:
