Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance services including oil and filter changes, fluid checks, and fluid replacements.
Inspect vehicle systems and components during maintenance services and report any concerns to service advisors or technicians.
Check, adjust, and document tire pressure; rotate tires as assigned.
Conduct basic vehicle inspections and ensure all safety items are functioning properly.
Install new oil filters and oil drain plugs and verify correct oil type and levels.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with shop standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and correctly.
Communicate clearly with teammates regarding vehicle condition, service status, and recommendations.
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance procedures.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and checklists accurately.
Willingness to learn and grow within the automotive service field.
Ability to operate basic shop equipment and electronic inspection tools.
Prior lube or quick-service experience (preferred but not required).
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
