JOB TITLEAssoc Dean/Assoc Professor
JOB PURPOSEA well‑qualified candidate will be visionary, flexible, innovative and willing to lead and support a dynamic group of faculty, staff and students in the rural mountain west. The Associate Dean will serve a 12‑month appointment acting as a representative for the Dean of the School of Nursing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Associate Dean is responsible for internal leadership and administration, curriculum development, accreditation, student recruitment, admissions and progression, program evaluation, and faculty development and development of faculty research/scholarship. Moreover, the Associate Dean will teach in the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing and have an active program of research as well as a strong service perspective.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited institution or master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution with doctoral degree in related field.
- Eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in Wyoming.
- At least five (5) years of experience practicing in nursing.
- History of experience in curriculum development, accreditation, and program evaluation.
- Record of academic teaching and scholarship to warrant tenure and appointment to Associate Professor/Professor rank.
- Evidence of academic leadership experience.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with Driving for University Business SAP.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as evidenced by a record of publications and presentations.
- Experience working with and recruiting students, faculty and community partners.
- Experience and/or interest in rural healthcare education and practice.
