JOB TITLE:
Assistant Professor of Higher Education Administration
JOB PURPOSE:
The University of Wyoming invites application for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Higher Education Administration. this faculty position is based in Laramie, Wyoming, and requires on-campus presence. The position will start in the Fall 2026 semester.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will teach five fully online, asynchronous course in the M.A. and Ed.D. programs in Higher Education Administration per academic year. Responsibilities also include advising graduate students, chairing doctoral dissertation committees, and actively participating in program development. As a tenure-track faculty member, the appointee is expected to develop and sustain an active research agenda that contributes to the field of higher education administration.
Additional responsibilities include service to the university, profession, and community consistent with faculty expectations at the University of Wyoming.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Earned doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in higher education administration or closely related education field, completion by date of hire.
* Experience in higher education as a faculty member, senior professional staff, or administrator.
* Experience and/or interest in online teaching.
* Demonstrated potential for scholarly writing and research.
* Experience (or interest) in graduate advising and working with doctoral students on dissertations.
DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Demonstrated expertise in the fields of higher education law and/or higher education finance.
* Evidence of effective teaching at the postsecondary level.
* Experience supporting and teaching adult learners in asynchronous online environments.
* Graduate teaching experience in the field of higher educational administration.
* Demonstrated expertise in research methods, preferably qualitative research methods.
* Experience working with rural-serving land grant universities and community colleges.
