JOB TITLE:

University of Wyoming Extension Summer Internship

JOB PURPOSE:

University of Wyoming Extension is offering part-time summer internship opportunities for individuals interested in working with Extension programs across the state.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support and promote UW Extension projects and events through event assistance, outreach, and general program support.

POSTION DETAILS:

* Pay: $15/hour

* Hours:

Up to 19 hours per week

* Duration: 6 weeks (July 6th - August 16, 2026)

* Eligibility:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Educational Award: $1,250 upon successful completion of the internship

Interns are responsible for securing their own housing for the summer. Selected candidates must successfully complete a University of Wyoming background and motor vehicle check as a condition of employment.

Interns also have the option to enroll in 1-4 academic credits through the University of Wyoming during the internship. Please note that interns are responsible for any associated tuition costs. The course is listed as:

Locations & Focus Areas

Internship placements will be based on alignment between applicant interests and available opportunities. Some counties offer blended experiences across multiple focus areas.

Community Vitality & Health (CVH)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP and a willingness to drive to and from program locations and events

* Interest in exploring a career in Extension

* Experience working with youth and community members

* Highly dependable and organized

* Strong communication skills
