Job Purpose:
University of Wyoming Extension is offering part-time summer internship opportunities for individuals interested in working with Extension programs across the state.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and promote UW Extension projects and events through event assistance, outreach, and general program support.
Position Details:
- Pay: $15/hour
- Hours:
Up to 19 hours per week - Duration: 6 weeks (July 6th – August 16, 2026)
- Eligibility:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Educational Award: $1,250 upon successful completion of the internship
Interns are responsible for securing their own housing for the summer. Selected candidates must successfully complete a University of Wyoming background and motor vehicle check as a condition of employment.
Interns also have the option to enroll in 1–4 academic credits through the University of Wyoming during the internship. Please note that interns are responsible for any associated tuition costs. The course is listed as:

Locations & Focus Areas:
Internship placements will be based on alignment between applicant interests and available opportunities. Some counties offer blended experiences across multiple focus areas.
Participating Counties and Program Areas:
- Teton County 4-H;
Community Vitality & Health (CVH)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP and a willingness to drive to and from program locations and events

This position provides vital support to Extension programming and must be available to work at a selected UW Extension Office assigned to the internship.
