Developmental Math Adjunct Instructor — Impactful Teaching

The Adjunct Instructor, Developmental Mathematics is a part-time position responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the STEM Pathway and other related courses at the community college level. The instructor may teach a range of developmental mathematics, including Pre-Algebra Arithmetic, Algebra I, and Algebra II, catering to students with varied academic and career goals. Responsibilities include developing, revising, and delivering course materials aligned with college standards, assessing student performance, organizing and executing laboratory experiments, supervising students in a laboratory setting, and providing academic support to help students succeed.

Compensation:$900 per credit hour.

Starting Date:As soon as practical after the hiring process. Adjunct positions are filled on an as needed basis.

• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
• Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
