Behavior Support Paraprofessional
The Behavior Support Paraprofessional is responsible for providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of special needs students in the regular classroom or in a self-contained classroom; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time; and providing information to appropriate school personnel.
The Behavior Support Paraprofessional:

Ability to use effective communication skills; ability to use time effectively; good organizational skills; ability to maintain a positive relationship with other staff by collaborating and working cooperatively with them (including supervisors); ability to operate standard office equipment and software applications; ability to prepare and maintain accurate records; knowledge of instructional techniques; knowledge of safety practices and procedures; knowledge of conflict resolution;
knowledge of child development/behavior; ability to maintain a calm demeanor; ability to maintain confidentiality; and ability to meet deadlines and schedules.
Minimum of high school education or GED.
1+ years of experience working in a school is preferred.
