Position Summary:
The Sports Paraprofessional is responsible for providing support to special education students in school sponsored sports and activities.
This position will serve the LMS Cross Country Team for the 2026/2027 season.
This position will support a visually impaired athlete and will require active support.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to use effective communication skills; ability to use time effectively; good organizational skills; ability to maintain a positive relationship with other staff by collaborating and working cooperatively with them (including supervisors); ability to operate standard office equipment and software applications; ability to prepare and maintain accurate records; knowledge of instructional techniques; knowledge of safety practices and procedures; knowledge of conflict resolution;
knowledge of child development/behavior; ability to maintain a calm demeanor; ability to maintain confidentiality; and ability to meet deadlines and schedules.
Entry Qualifications:
Mandatory: Minimum of high school education or GED.
Preferred: 1+ years of experience working in a school is preferred.
