Wyo Tech is seeking experienced motorsports chassis fabricators to join our team as instructors at our Laramie, WY campus. This is a unique opportunity for skilled professionals who are ready to mentor and teach the next generation of technicians.
No prior teaching experience is required

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet state certification, regulatory agencies, and accrediting body requirements, including but not limited to:
- 5+ years of experience in the high-performance automotive industry, with a focus on restoration, customization, and chassis fabrication
- Proven expertise in precision welding, including both MIG and TIG techniques, applied in motorsports or custom builds
- Strong working knowledge of suspension systems, steering geometry, tubular frame construction, and overall chassis design
- Tech-savvy and computer proficient, with the ability to quickly adapt to industry-specific software used in an educational or technical setting
- Hands‑on experience with classic vehicles, custom trucks, race cars, or other performance‑focused builds
- Advanced skills in metal shaping, fabrication, minor machining, and working with a variety of metals and materials
- A collaborative mindset with a positive, team‑oriented attitude in a shop‑floor environment
- Willingness and ability to learn and apply software tools related to chassis design, blueprint interpretation, or fabrication planning
- Industry certifications (such as ASE) are a plus and demonstrate commitment to craftsmanship and continuous improvement
