Lecturer, Assistant

The Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering seeks afull-time Academic Lecturer to support undergraduate and graduate education in petroleum, energy, and related engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will contribute primarily through teaching, student mentoring, curriculum development, and service activities that support the department's educationalmission.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Energy and Petroleum Engineering.
• Deliver instruction in classroom, laboratory, hybrid, andonline formats.
• Develop and update course materials to align with industryneeds and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in assessment and continuous improvement activities associated with ABET accreditation.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancementinitiatives.
• Support senior design projects and experiential learning activities.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to maintaincurriculum relevance.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, and outreach efforts.

The successful candidate will contribute to the department'sinstructional mission through teaching in areas aligned with their expertise and the department's curricular needs. Teachingassignments may include courses such as:

• Petroleum Economics and Law
• Production Engineering
• Drilling Engineering
• Reservoir Engineering

• Phase Behavior
• Well Completions & Stimulations

• Introduction to Petroleum Engineering

• Non-tenure track Academic Lecturer position.
• Multi-year appointment subject to performance and funding.
• Primary responsibilities focus on teaching and service.
• Expected teaching load: 15 credit hours per academic year.

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching, training, or industry experience relevant to energy and petroleum engineering.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Minimum experience requirements are evaluated on a full-time equivalent (FTE) basis. Relevant part-time experience will be prorated based on hours worked. For example, two years working anaverage of 20 hours per week is equivalent to approximately oneyear of full-time experience.
