Job Purpose:

The School of Energy Resources (SER) at the University of Wyoming (UW) is dedicated to energy-driven economic development for the state of Wyoming. Created in 2006, SER enhances the university's energy-related education, research and outreach. SER directs and integrates cutting edge energy research and academic programs at UW and bridges academics and industry through targeted outreach programs. This position exists to provide financial support services as needed for SER.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile employee procurement card purchases.
  • Process reimbursements for employee and non-employee travel.
  • Complete interdepartmental transfers.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions.
  • Make deposits.
  • Produce and interpret financial reports.
  • Assist with tracking federal grant spending.
  • Utilize software including Oracle, Quick Books, ROAMWyo, and ECC.
  • Help train Faculty and Staff on the use of UW's financial system, Wyo Cloud.
  • Assist in managing and tracking SER inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current UW student working toward a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Pass required background check.

Qualifications:

Experience working with Quickbooks and Wyo Cloud Financial Management system.
