CNC Programmer

Tungsten Parts Wyoming Inc is seeking a CNC Programmer to support Manufacturing & Production of high-precision tungsten alloy components for defense, aerospace, medical, and industrial applications in Sheridan, WY. In this hands-on role, you will program and optimize CNC mills and lathes, select tools and cutting parameters, and collaborate closely with machinists and engineers in a small, quality-driven team. You'll work from blueprints and GD&T, troubleshoot machining challenges, and help drive continuous improvement while gaining deep expertise in advanced materials and custom, end-to-end production.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and optimize CNC mills/lathes for tungsten heavy alloy components
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications
• Select tools, speeds, and feeds to achieve tight tolerances and surface finishes
• Troubleshoot machining issues and improve cycle times and tool life
• Verify part quality using precision inspection tools and update offsets
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality on new and custom jobs
• Maintain accurate programs, setup sheets, and documentation
• Support continuous improvement, 5
• S, and safety practices on the shop floor

Required Skills

• CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens/HAAS or similar)
• G-code/M-code programming
• CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Blueprint reading and GD&TPrecision measurement (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
• Fixture and tooling setup
• Knowledge of machining tungsten and hard metals
• CNC machine setup and operation (mills and lathes)
• Process troubleshooting and optimization
• Basic shop math and trigonometry
